Savor Cal Poly

With 35 restaurants and 800+ menu offerings, there is always something new to savor at Cal Poly.

Campus Dining’s on-campus restaurants, markets and food trucks offer flexible hours, rotating menus and a wide variety of cuisines sure to satisfy any cravings and dietary needs. Fresh foods are brought in from local and regional sources to create meals that are colorful, nutritious and flavorful.

On-trend menu offerings are crafted with student nutrition, health and safety top of mind, no matter the diet. With a nutrition office featured prominently at the main entrance to Vista Grande Dining Complex, Campus Dining’s registered dietitian is available to support students as they manage their nutritional health and specific dietary needs. In-venue menus are easy to navigate with vegan, vegetarian, and Halal icons, making it easy for students to find the options that work for them.

To minimize our environmental foodprint, Campus Dining is committed to using sustainable practices centered on food sustainability, waste stream management, water and energy conservation and green buildings and transportation.

Extending beyond food, nutrition and sustainability, into friendships, social lives and experiences, Campus Dining plays a significant role in Cal Poly student success and well-being. A combination of indoor and outdoor dining spaces and a calendar full of engaging food-focused events create environments of community on campus throughout the year. 

Campus Dining is a commercial service of Cal Poly Corporation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which provides the university with a variety of commercial, fiscal, and administrative services.

2022 NACUFS Silver Loyal E. Horton Dining Award – Campus Dining was recognized for its state-of-the art Vista Grande Dining Complex.

2020 NACUFS Grand Prize Loyal E. Horton Dining Award – Campus Dining was recognized with top honors for its Online Catering Menu.

2020 NACUFS Gold Loyal E. Horton Dining Award – Campus Dining was recognized for its creative and attractive Online Catering Menu.

2020 NACUFS Bronze Nutrition Award – Campus Dining was recognized for its Choosewell Ambassadors, an innovative wellness and nutrition program.

2019 NACUFS Silver Loyal E. Horton Dining Award – University Catering was recognized for its efforts for the grand opening of Cal Poly’s yakʔitʸutʸu residential halls.

2018 NACUFS Grand Prize Loyal E. Horton Dining Award – University Catering received top honors for its online catering menu.

2017 NACUFS Silver Loyal E. Horton Dining Award – University Catering was recognized for its work creating and executing the CSU auxiliaries CEO dinner.

2016 NACUFS Silver Loyal E. Horton Dining Award – University Catering was recognized for its work creating and executing Cal Poly’s annual fundraising dinner.

Industry Memberships

NACUFS.org: Campus Dining is proud to be a member of the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS)

ServeSafe: Food industry regulations stipulate that every foodservice organization has at least one employee that is sanitation certified. Campus Dining has exceeded this standard by having nearly all of its regular employees certified through the National Restaurant Association’s SERVSAFE program.
